Braces and aligners in Airoli, Navi Mumbai.
Braces and aligners gently move crowded, gapped, or crooked teeth into a straighter position over months. Braces are fixed metal or ceramic brackets glued to the teeth; aligners are clear removable trays you change every two weeks.
When braces or aligners help.
The obvious reason is looks — straighter teeth, a more even smile, closing gaps. That is reason enough for most patients.
The less-obvious reasons are practical. Crowded teeth are harder to clean, so they trap food and decay faster. A bite that doesn’t meet properly puts uneven wear on some teeth and strains the jaw joint. Straightening can prevent bigger problems down the line.
Braces vs. aligners — the real difference.
Bracesare fixed to your teeth for the whole treatment. They handle every type of movement, from simple to complex, and they don’t depend on you remembering to wear them.
Clear alignersare removable trays you change every two weeks. You take them out to eat and brush. They are nearly invisible. The trade-off is discipline — they need to be in 20+ hours a day or the teeth don’t move.
Some cases need braces; some are happy with either. We will tell you what your case actually needs.
How it works
Treatment runs over 12 to 24 months.
Short visits every month or two. The biggest time investment is wearing them consistently — the chair time is small.
- 01/
Consultation and records
We check the bite, take photos, X-rays, and either impressions or a digital scan. From these we plan how the teeth need to move and what option suits you. - 02/
Choosing braces or aligners
Both work. Braces are usually faster and handle complex movements; aligners are nearly invisible and you can take them out to eat. We'll talk through what fits your case, your budget, and your lifestyle. - 03/
Fitting the appliance
For braces, brackets are bonded to each tooth and the first wire is fitted — about an hour. For aligners, you collect your first set of trays and start wearing them 20+ hours a day. - 04/
Monthly adjustments
Braces get the wire tightened or changed every 4–6 weeks. With aligners, you switch to the next tray at home every 2 weeks and come in every 6–8 weeks for a check. - 05/
Retainers
Once the teeth are straight, you wear a retainer to hold them in place — full-time for a few months, then nights only, often for years. Without a retainer, teeth slowly drift back.
After treatment
Looking after braces or aligners day to day.
- With braces: use a soft toothbrush and an interdental brush around each bracket after every meal. A floss threader gets between the wires.
- With aligners: take them out for any food or drink (except water), rinse and brush them daily, and put them back in within 20 minutes of finishing your meal.
- Six-monthly cleanings: continue these throughout treatment. Plaque builds up faster around brackets and trays.
- After treatment: wear your retainer exactly as told. Teeth that have just moved want to drift back.

How long will treatment take?
Most cases finish in 12 to 24 months. Mild crowding can be done in 6 months; complex bite problems can take longer. We give you a realistic estimate after the first consultation.Am I too old for braces?
No. We treat adults regularly — including patients in their 40s and 50s. Healthy teeth and gums move at any age. Some adult patients prefer the clear aligner option because it is barely visible.Do braces hurt?
The first 3 to 5 days after fitting and after each adjustment are tender. Soft food, painkillers if you need them, and it settles. After the first month, most people forget they have them on.Will I have to give up any food?
With braces, yes — sticky toffees, hard nuts, popcorn kernels, and bone-in meat are the main culprits because they can break brackets or wires. Aligners come out when you eat, so no food restrictions. What if a bracket comes off or a wire pokes me?
Ring or WhatsApp us during opening hours and we will fit you in to fix it. For a poking wire at night, dental wax (we give you some) covers it temporarily until you can come in.How much do braces or aligners cost?
Cost depends on the type chosen, how complex the case is, and how long treatment runs. Aligners are typically more than braces. Ring or WhatsApp +91 79000 97145 for a real quote after the consultation.
